There is a lot of information for radio monitoring just scattered all over the web, a little like dandelion seeds, it’s come from one central point and one day it’s central source has gone and the information has spread out, and it becomes difficult to find it again. So I have started ScanUK.net and as time passes hopefully the most useful information finds it’s way here.

What I most importantly intend on doing is getting a working database or collection of databases of frequencies and users. The background for this because we had a database and it is largely gone. There are fragments of it found on forums, and spreadsheets all over the web, but it’s no longer managed into one place. Also much of it is so old that it’s grossly inaccurate. I intend on making this the one stop shop for identifying users, and learning how to decode the various digital modes using as little radio equipment as possible.

This is just the start.
